We Could Be Changed

Anthony Childs The most unexpected and welcome of surprises! For newcomers and long-time fans alike, don't forget to check out their alter ego Admiral Byrd which hopefully is still on Bandcamp. As for this album, it is immediately recognizable as them at their peak sound from several years ago while still taking the compositions and moods into new territories: familiar but noticeably evolved. May this album find many more ears and hearts. Favorite track: We Could Be Changed.

about

Early into the worldwide lockdown we decided to start a new GD album, this time with original member, Bryan Hanna, producing, mixing and co-writing. Dex Wolfe played the otherworldly guitars, Tim Ritter conjured the bass and analogue synth lines, and Chadwick Nelson hit the saturated drum kit.

Todd Casper recorded vocals and song sketches in the middle of the night at Ghost Farm, then the group built the songs up at Delphian Heights, creating unexpected landscapes and panoramic mixes.

The album goes beyond the usual Gen X cynicism and is instead a heartfelt attempt to keep Love alive during those apocalyptic days of suspicion, paranoia and isolation.

It’s called WE COULD BE CHANGED.

Here's hoping.
